SSHOC at Events

The 5th SSHOC Consortium meeting will be held onine on 23 and 24 March 2021.

The meeting will be hosted by SSHOC partner DARIAH ERIC, who will provide the platform and the technical support.

SSHOC and DARIAH-ERIC announce an interactive Research Data Management bootcamp for trainers, data supporters, librarians and data stewards in the humanities and social sciences. 

On Monday 7 December 2020, the three consortia selected for the ARCHIVER prototype phase will be announced during a Public Award Ceremony starting at 14.00 CET.

Join the CESSDA webinar on 3 December at 14.00 CET, where a researcher, a trainer and an expert will be on hand to discuss why and how to use the Guide for Research Data Management in the social sciences and beyond.

IPERION HS / E-RIHS leads the BoF Session “Linguistic and Disciplinary Barriers to Heritage Science Data Interoperability” at the 16th RDA Plenary on 11th November at 5:00 – 6:30 PM UTC (Breakout 5).

The purpose of the session is to explore how the heritage science community can take advantage of the work already done by the RDA and other communities to develop a common Semantic Framework for heritage science research data. Specific topics include:

1-Presentation of E-RIHS and open issues in Heritage Science

Members of the SSH Open Marketplace development team will demonstrate the platform during a 20 minute session at the DARIAH Virtual Annual Event.

Following on from the series of online information sessions that took place in September, we would like to invite you to a more in-depth discussion scheduled in the form of a virtual workshop providing an update on the vocabulary-related activities within the SSHOC project, and discussing the potential alignment between different vocabulary platforms and how to address the interoperability challenges.

The EURISE Network, a collaboration between CESSDA, CLARIN, DARIAH & OPERAS, is organising a series of one-hour Wednesday meetings online for technical experts at the Infrastructures.

Originally planned as a physical event, the 2nd workshop on connecting the ESFRI Research Infrastructures (RIs) to the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), will now take place virtually. This is due to  restrictions on the number of participants at conferences in the host country, and the travel restrictions associated with Covid-19 outbreak. The date is unchanged, 6 & 7 October 2020.
