SSHOC at Events

The SSHOC project announces an interactive workshop for policy makers, practitioners and others working with GDPR, research ethics, and Codes of Conduct. 

Participants will gain practical insights into the challenges inherent in establishing a Code of Conduct and learn the how and why from experts in the field.

The outcomes of the workshop will be incorporated into an ongoing project task to set up a Code of Conduct specifically for Social Sciences and Humanities researchers. 

FAIRsFAIR is delighted to welcome all its partners, stakeholders and friends to FAIRsFAIR Week 2021!

In the week of 7 to 15 April we'll be offering project insiders and external stakeholders alike the opportunity to immerse themselves fully in everything FAIRsFAIR!

The workshop will bring together scientific communities from EGI-ACE (WP5 Data Spaces and T2.3 Early Adopters), with the service providers and user support teams from EGI-ACE, from the broader EGI federation and from EGI partner infrastructures outside Europe (e.g. OSG, CNIC, etc.)

The ICTeSSH 2021 online conference aims to bring together leading SSH researchers, computer scientists, informaticians, publishers, librarians, vendors of research ICT tools, SSH decision makers and others, to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of ICT enhanced Social Sciences and Humanities. In addition, the conference aims to discuss promising new ideas and identify new potential collaborators.

"Lessons Learned: Organising a Large Event Online" is the topic of this month's informal call between members of the SSHOC Training Community.

The SSHOC CLARIN collaborative webinar series continues on 24 February with the topic Best Practices for Preserving Oral Archives.

The CLARIN Annual Conference is the main annual event for those working on the construction and operation of CLARIN across Europe, as well as for representatives of the communities of use in the humanities, and social sciences. The 2020 edition took place virtually. In 2021 we hope to be able to -at least partially- return to the traditional format, for which in 2021 Madrid would be the venue.  The event will be prepared  by CLARIN ERIC,  in collaboration with LINHD -Digital Humanities Innovation Labies Innovation Lab- and UNED -National Distance Education University of Spain.

For providers of data services across the full range of scientific disciplines, a webinar to present the first iteration of an assessment framework for the FAIRness of data services.

SSHOC will present a poster at the The Open Science Conference 2021, the 8th international conference of the Leibniz Research Alliance Open Science. 

The Digital Curation Centre in collaboration with Jisc and STFC-UKRI will be hosting RDA'S 17th Plenary meeting on 20-22 April 2021.
