The SSHOC Training Community will have its first kick-off call on Thursday 19th of March 2020 at 15:30 CET. Community members stay up-to-date on SSHOC training activities and get a sneak preview of new training materials, like the Training toolkit that is currently under development. Through the SSHOC Training Communty you can also stay informed about SSHOC events and webinars and receive support in organizing your own training activities.

SSHOC at HERItage conference 2020: The role of cultural heritage in socio-economic development and preservation of democratic values

SSHOC Webinar: CLARIN Hands-on Tutorial on Transcribing Interview Data

FAIR Research Data Management in SSH: a CO-OPERAS IN & SSHOC Workshop

CO-OPERAS and SSHOC are conducting a joint workshop on January 30th 2019, in the Georg-August-Universität in Göttingen. The workshop addresses workflows and research practices of the participants in terms of research data management, FAIR principles (CO-OPERAS) and their usage and requirements towards services, tools, and specifically towards the SSH Open Marketplace that SSHOC is building.

European Dataverse Workshop 2020

The European Dataverse Workshop 2020, will be held at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, in Tromsø, on January 23-24 2020.
The use case of the SSHOC Dataverse, on which the University of Tromsø is also a collaborating organisation, will be presented by Marion Wittenberg (DANS) on the first morning (10:30-12:00). Furthermore, participants will have the opportunity to take part in a hands-on technical workshop on the Dataverse, held by Vyacheslav Tykhonov (DANS).

DESIR Winter School: Shaping new approaches to data management in arts and humanities

The DESIR Winter School “Shaping new approaches to data management in arts and humanities” will take place in Lisbon on 10-13 December 2019. The event will be hosted by NOVA FCSH University facilities and is organised in the framework of the Horizon 2020 funded project DESIR (DARIAH ERIC Sustainability Refined).

We aim to attract PhD students, arts and humanities scholars from all career stages and research managers interested in the issues raised by sustainable practices to open up data in the arts and humanities. The event is a joint organisation between DARIAH and NOVA FCSH.

Europeana 2019 Pre-conference Workshop: EOSC's Evolutionary Scenarios - New Perspectives for Digital Cultural Heritage

This year the Europeana Conference, the main event dedicated to the EU digital platform for cultural heritage and its communities, will take place in Lisbon, Portugal and feature a pre-event workshop entirely dedicated to EOSC. Titled "EOSC's Evolutionary Scenarios - New Perspective for Digital Cultural Heritage", the event will take place on 27 November 2019 in Lisbon, 10:00-13:00 GMT.

Franciska de Jong, Professor at Utrecht University & Executive Director of CLARIN ERIC will present SSHOC, the Social Sciences and Humanities Open Cloud.
