FAIR data are the pillar of Open Science which is at the core of the SSHOC project. In order to ensure findability of data and other resources, it is crucial to provide easy-to-use recommendations for data citation in the SSH domains.

Online on 11 June 2021, this workshop aims at addressing potential sustainable actions to consolidate the cluster work programmes as well as presenting to the European Commission, ESFRI and the EOSC Association a longer-term vision to support the uptake of Open Science by the global scientific community.

Dataverse is repository software developed by the Institute for Quantitative Social Science of Harvard University to enable researchers to archive and publish research data. It's supported by an active Dataverse Development Community with contributors around the world. From fixing bugs to writing documentation as well as creating integrations and client libraries, the community is a major part of what makes the Dataverse software successful.

From 1st to 3rd June SSHOC is participating in ICRI virtual international conference giving a detailed overview of how SSHOC communities are contributing to the fight against COVID-19.

This round table aims to validate the work done in the SSHOC project and help us refine the specifications of the FAIR SSH citation prototype, as well as inform our Data Citation Recommendations.

An opportunity for researchers and students from computer science, data science, and the humanities and social sciences to work in an interdisciplinary team and explore ways to solve concrete research questions on the WageIndicator Collective Agreements Database.

In this workshop, the group of researchers will focus on the comparison of parliamentary debates before and during Covid pandemic across Europe from a linguistic, sociological, politological and/or computational perspective. The group’s objective will be to learn how to use comparable parliamentary corpora from various European countries that are annotated with metadata, such as speaker and session information, and linguistic annotations, such as morphosyntactic and named entity tags, for studying societal issues caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Checklists for the planning process and timelines for online events AND privacy-compliant configurations for online meetings" are the topic of this month's informal call between members of the SSH Training Community.

The meeting takes place online on 18 May at 14:00 CET and the speakers are Tanya Yankelevich (LIBER) and Veronika Keck (GESIS) and Ricarda Braukmann (DANS).

IASSIST 2021 Annual Conference - GVC

IASSIST (International Association for Social Science Information Service and Technology), founded in 1974, is an international organization of professionals working with information technology and data services to support research and teaching.

The IASSIST 2021 Global Virtual Conference (GVC) will be held on 18-20 May 2021. Workshops will be held the week prior.
