Awareness Raising Events

The ICTeSSH 2021 online conference aims to bring together leading SSH researchers, computer scientists, informaticians, publishers, librarians, vendors of research ICT tools, SSH decision makers and others, to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of ICT enhanced Social Sciences and Humanities. In addition, the conference aims to discuss promising new ideas and identify new potential collaborators.

LIBER’s Annual Conference is a key meeting point for research library professionals.

Held in late June or early July, the conference brings library directors and their staff together for three days of networking and collaboration. Delegates mainly come from Europe but people from around the world are welcome, and we regularly welcome guests from countries including Australia, Canada and the United States.

This workshop will be building on the outcomes of the session “Citizen Science: What it means for SSH and how can multidisciplinarity be achieved?” that took place during the conference “Realising the European Open Science Cloud: Towards a FAIR research data landscape for the social sciences, humanities and beyond.” in November 2020.

The European Open Science Cloud has finally entered its highly-anticipated implementation phase. The EOSC Symposium will provide a key engagement opportunity for the EOSC community. 

Online on 11 June 2021, this workshop aims at addressing potential sustainable actions to consolidate the cluster work programmes as well as presenting to the European Commission, ESFRI and the EOSC Association a longer-term vision to support the uptake of Open Science by the global scientific community.

Dataverse is repository software developed by the Institute for Quantitative Social Science of Harvard University to enable researchers to archive and publish research data. It's supported by an active Dataverse Development Community with contributors around the world. From fixing bugs to writing documentation as well as creating integrations and client libraries, the community is a major part of what makes the Dataverse software successful.

From 1st to 3rd June SSHOC is participating in ICRI virtual international conference giving a detailed overview of how SSHOC communities are contributing to the fight against COVID-19.

The first CS3MESH4EOSC webinar, entitled “Science Mesh in High Energy Physics and Endangered Linguistics - Open Data Systems & Data Science Environments” is taking place on 6th May from 11:00 am-12:00 pm CEST.  The webinar will showcase how the Science Mesh is integrating both data science environments and open data repositories into the federated Science Mesh, supporting collaboration of distributed science teams across disciplines.
